A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. Wow, a very well written religious oriented faith life (parallel) book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a huge set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great religious oriented faith movie, or better yet a mini TV series. 1 of my top 25 book list for 2016. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

A porta na capa está fechada, mas se bateres, abrirá sempre. É um longo percurso, um longo livro, bastante detalhado. A personagem principal guiar-te-á até um lar de acolhimento para sem-abrigo com um programa cristão para ajudar os seus "estudantes" a recomporem-se novamente. Também conta ao bem-humorado Pastor que foi seu mentor como foi ali parar. Eles nem sempre têm o mesmo ponto de vista sobre a religião, e é interessante ler as suas discussões.
A história desenrola-se num ritmo lento, com imensos diálogos, algumas partes podem ser repetitivas, até aborrecidas; outras podem ser esclarecedoras, divertidas, sensuais, ou até poéticas. É uma grande misturada.
Nos últimos capítulos, o ritmo altera-se, torna-se febril. Diálogos curtos, menos detalhe, precipitando-se para o final. E o final... não parece bem um fim. Talvez seja porque vai existir continuação. Este é o segundo livro de uma série cujo primeiro livro (Fim-de-semana em Faro) eu não li, mas depois de ler este vais perceber a que fim-de-semana o título remete.
Até agora, eu não sei como descrever Michael ou que espécie de verdade ele apregoa. De qualquer forma, verdade é subjetiva. Não tenho a certeza se ele é um visionário ou um lunático, talvez um pouco de ambos.
De uma coisa tenho a certeza: não estou arrependida de ter aberto a porta e gostaria que o percurso continuasse... um pouco menos detalhado e repetitivo que no início, talvez não tão rápido como no final, se não for pedir demasiado!

It's a long journey, long book, very detailed. The main character will lead you to a homeless shelter with a christian program to help their "students" to get on their feet again. He also tells how he end up there to the wise and jolly Pastor who was his conselour. They don't always have the same point of view about religion, and it's interesting to read their arguments.
The story unfolds in a slow pace, with lots of dialogues, some parts may be repetitive, even boring; others may be enlightening, funny, sensual, or even poetic. It's a quite a big patchwork.
At the last chapters, the rythm changes, becomes feverish. Short dialogues, less detail, it hurries to the end. And the end... well, it doesn't quite feel like an ending. Maybe it's because there will be a sequel. This one is the second of a series wich I didn't read the first (Weekend In Faro), but after the reading you'll know what weekend the title refers to.
So far, I don't really know how to describe Michael or what kind of truth is he preaching. Truth is subjective, anyway. Not sure if he's a visionary or a lunatic, I guess a little bit of both. One thing I'm sure: I'm not sorry for opening that door and I would like the journey to continue... with a little less detail and repetition than the beginning, maybe not so fast as the end, if it's not asking too much!
