GRANDMA'S EYES
ALM No.81, October 2025
POETRY

Grandma’s eyes are like the night sky,
Grandma’s eyes are not like mine,
Grandma’s eyes see life go by,
Grandma’s eyes tell time,
Grandma’s eyes never lie,
Grandma’s regards are kind,
Grandma’s eyes are unique,
Grandma’s eyes are holy,
Grandma’s sights are set high,
Grandma’s eyes are made to climb,
Grandma’s eyes see miles wide,
Grandma’s eyes are here to shine,
Grandma’s eyes see fireflies,
Grandma’s eyes are the light that lit up the moonless sky,
Grandma’s eyes see a dog lying in the sun,
Grandma’s eyes see everything all the time,
Grandma’s eyes see me cry,
Grandma’s eyes see me shine,
Grandma’s eyes see me fly,
Grandma’s eyes see me sigh,
Grandma’s eyes see me soar,
Grandma’s eyes see me like never before,
Grandma’s eyes see me reaching towards the sky,
Grandma’s eyes see take me flight,
Grandma’s eyes see me reaching for my dreams,
Grandma’s eyes see me in this new life,
Grandma’s eyes see me in her heart and this is where I will stay,
