TAKE A BITE
ALM No.78, July 2025
POETRY

A crimson blush, a whispered plea,
A symphony of spices, wild and free.
A molten core, a golden hue,
A taste that dances, fresh and new.
The first bite taken, soft and light,
A burst of flavor, pure delight.
A secret hidden, deep inside,
A journey fragrant, far and wide.
But wait, a twist, a sudden turn,
A savory surprise, a hidden fern.
A tangy zing, a citrus burst,
A flavor's waltz, a taste that's cursed.
Not bitter, not sour, not too sweet,
A perfect balance, oh so neat.
A culinary dream, a work of art,
A second bite, a captive heart.
The palate sings, a joyful song,
A dance of flavors, righting wrong.
The spices dance, a vibrant show,
A symphony of tastes, to and fro.
From humble start, to grand finale,
A masterpiece, beyond compare.
A culinary wonder, bold and bright,
A taste so exquisite, a pure delight.
