TODAY

TODAY

You and I we live by day,
At night you tend to fly away,
Leaving me to live for tomorrow.

I want more than you can give,
But you say live and let live.
Leaving me with emptiness and sorrow.

Would you still want me tomorrow?
Or even wonder why I left?
Would you still need me tomorrow?
Cause I’m leaving to live for today.

Every time I see you now,
I can’t help wondering if somehow,
Loving me was just for the moment.

Tell me something I don’t know,
If you’re so sad why don’t you go,
And be with someone in your own way.

Would you still want me tomorrow?
Or even wonder why I left?
Would you still need me tomorrow?
Cause I’m leaving to live for today.
