Four Haikus

Music feeds the soul
Touches our deepest recesses
Love and cherish it.

Rippling Lake

Gently rippling lake
Bathed in soft autumn sunlight.
Leaves in myriad shapes.

The Starling

As I sip coffee
A starling settles nearby
Plumage speckled white.

Lilac Leaves

Green leaves turn yellow
Perfectly heart-shaped, smooth-edged.
They are lilac leaves.
